UFRaw Gimpshop.app Plugin
I’ve recently been using GimpShop under Mac OS X. There is a plugin for Gimp called UFRaw that I wanted to use as well for RAW file import from my digital camera.
Update…
So I took up the challenge from the UFRaw author and built a point/click installer. It works for Gimpshop.app, so long as it is installed as /Applications/Gimpshop.app. I am looking into getting a script into the installer that can determine where Gimpshop.app or Gimp.app is located, and allow the user to select it for installation.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your efforts to make UFRaw easier to install with GIMPshop. I would like to install UFRaw as a GIMP plugin. However, I need UFRaw to support the Nikon D200 (UFRaw 0.8.1). Can you help me figure out how to install this software. I am new to UNIX but learning lots quickly.
Mac OS 10.4.6, GIMP 2.2.11, X11
Regards,
Jonathan

Glad to be of some assistance. I’ve had a lot on my plate lately and have not gotten an updated installer in place - I intend to in the near future so the user can choose directories more easily.
Anyway, are you running Mac OS X Intel or PPC? I’ll put a reminder to make a new build of UFRaw for PPC next week. I’d also like to get a build for Intel in place as well, but I’ve not attempted one yet. It shouldn’t be too hard.

Thank you so much for doing this. I’m a recent switcher still getting used to the Mac, so being able to have a point and click installer for UFRaw is really useful.
